A student at Marina Village Middle School in El Dorado Hills was arrested Friday after making threats and threatening the safety of the school.
On February 2, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office (EDSO) was notified of the threats. Upon receiving the information, deputies worked with school staff to ensure the safety of our schools and determine if the threat was credible. The suspect was identified and interviewed. Several witnesses were also identified and interviewed.
The unidentified student was removed from class and arrested for making criminal threats. They were booked into the El Dorado County Juvenile Hall.
EDSO said there are no other known or credible threats to Marina Village Middle School or any other schools.
