Howie's House of Comedy opens in The Loft Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Local celebrity, radio show host and comedian Howie Nave has teamed up with Paul Reder, co-owner of The Loft Tahoe, to bring national touring comedians to the intimate showroom inside the Heavenly Village.

Howie's House of Comedy will be open every Sunday in the Loft Theater starting March 3. Known for its award-winning magicians from around the world, the theater will now have some of the best names from the world of stand up comedy.

Most know Howie from either his morning radio show on KRLT 93.9 or from bringing The Improv Comedy Club to Tahoe with it's founder, Budd Friedman back in 2001.

Howie will host all the shows and launching its debut on March 3 will be headlining act Mark Pitta, who started his stand up career in the San Francisco Bay Area coming up at the same time with fellow Bay Area comics Robin Williams, Kevin Pollack, Bob Sarlatte, Will Durst and Dana Carvey to name but a few. Pitta has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “3rd Rock From the Sun,” “Mad About You,” Fox’s “Totally Hidden Video" and Comedy Central. Mark returned to the Bay Area after he realized LA wasn't for him and was hired to be the entertainment reporter for FOX affiliate, KTVU Channel 2 (seen here on KRXI channel 11). In addition to performing comedy clubs, theaters and cruise ships Mark is also in-demand for corporate engagements.

The Loft Tahoe is located at 1001 Heavenly Village Way, Space 50 in South Lake Tahoe.
