Carson City family charters helicopter to search for missing dogs

A Carson City family chartered a private helicopter Wednesday to search for two shaggy white dogs missing since Friday night. The owners of the Spinoni Italiano dogs are Stacey and Lorne Belt. The dogs, Mara and Adele, escaped while the couple were walking.
On Friday night the couple were with their dogs in east Carson City along the Carson River and on the ridges in the Mexican Dam area. As Stacey went to take a photo, the dogs broke loose and took off running, possibly after a rabbit.
The dogs names are ages 2 and 4. They are hunting dogs and tend to run far and fast, said Belt. The private helicopter was charted after a Go Fund Me account was established. The helicopter, out of Los Angeles, is concentrating in the areas of Jacks Valley and Clear Creek and has been seen flying throughout Carson City.
If you have seen the dogs, call 775-720-1073. See the video below. Go here to see the Facebook page that has also been created.
From the Go Fund Me page:
"On February 26, 2016 my parents were on an early evening walk with their 4 Spinoni Italiano. Two of the dogs, Mara and Adele, took off after a rabbit and have yet to come home. These dogs are a member of our family and we are devastated. We have posters everywhere and have put together many search parties. Unfortunately, there have been zero sightings of these dogs.
"We are working with Karin TarQwyn, a private investigator with Lost Pet Professionals and are very appreciative of her advice and support. She is doing as much as she can from afar, but with us on Day 4 with no sightings, we may soon need her here for more help.
"We are also currently looking into getting a helicopter to search the desert as our girls may be far from any town or neighborhood right now. A helicopter runs at $1000 an hour.
"Over the past few days the outpouring of support from our family, friends, and community has been incredible. While we did not want to start a crowdfund for this, we are desperate and willing to do anything to bring our girls home. We are hoping to get a helicopter as soon as possible and bring the lost pet experts to us. Thank you everyone for your donations, positive thoughts, and prayers. We are forever grateful.
"If you have any questions about the campaign, please contact me, Emily Cook, on Facebook or via email emilyvocook@gmail.com. Any funds that we do not use will be donated to a Spinoni Rescue group."
