South Lake Tahoe police say they caught the man who allegedly robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located inside Raley’s Heavenly Village Shopping Center in South Lake Tahoe on March 29.
Joshua Schauert, 26, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested Sunday after investigators responded to a laptop computer advertisement he allegedly placed on Craigslist.
Investigators say they were able to identify Schauert the day of the robbery. Sunday afternoon officers discovered that Schauert listed a laptop computer on Craigslist. South Lake Tahoe officers working undercover set up a meeting with Schauert supposedly to buy the laptop, but arrested him instead. Officers say they are trying to determine if the laptop was also stolen.
