SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Christmas Cheer is an emergency food pantry operating in South Lake Tahoe and, with an increased need with many out of work due to the current coronavirus situation, they are running low on non-perishable food supplies.
They have seen many more people than normal coming into their office and volunteers say it is putting a big dent on their supply.
Christmas Cheer would appreciate any non-perishable food donations, but especially tuna and peanut butter, two popular items that have been off the shelves for weeks. They have enough canned vegetables but would like to also have soups, dry pasta and other basic essentials to give away to those in need.
The nonprofit is located at 1120 Third Street, South Lake Tahoe. They are open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and donations are accepted during those hours only. The Christmas Cheer phone number is 530.542.4934 but normally answered only during open hours.
