Jamie Anderson and Clean Tahoe team up for creative writing contest for local youth

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Gold Medalist and South Lake Tahoe native Jamie Anderson has teamed up with Clean Tahoe to present a creative writing contest for students in the South Lake Tahoe and Meyers area.
Those ages 9-18 are invited to participate. $100 will be given to the winner from grades 4-5, $100 to the winner from grades 6-8, and $200 to the winner from grades 9-12.
The creative writing subject: It is the year 3030 and there is no such thing as trash.
Write a story about how the world got to have no waste and what it is like to be in that world. Consider the systematic changes and product innovations that allowed for the elimination of solid waste. Describe what this new world looks like, smells like, feels like, sounds like, and tastes like.
There is a 2,000 word limit to the story.
Submit entries to info@clean-tahoe.org. Put the word "Contest" and grade level in the subject line of the email. Include name, age, grade level, school and teacher's name in the email as well.
All entries are due by May 18, 2020.
Funding for the contest is in part from the El Dorado Community Foundation.
