Jamie Anderson makes debut on Dancing With the Stars Monday

Jamie Anderson grew up on a snowboard at Sierra-at-Tahoe near South Lake Tahoe, and since those early days on the slopes the world has found out about how talented she is from the X Games to two Olympics. Now the country gets to see the South Lake Tahoe resident on the dance floor as the 26th season of Dancing With the Stars begins on April 30.

She will be seen on the long-running reality competition show which features an all-athlete edition this season, and it will be a much shorter season in 2018, lasting just four weeks.

The show premiers Monday night, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, will be shown on Mondays until 10:00 p.m. with the finale being aired on May 21 (which happens to be the finale of American Idol as well).

Besides Anderson, the athletes in the show will be Olympic ice skaters Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu; Olympic luger Chris Mazdzer; NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar; Notre Dame’s national championship hero Arike Ogunbowale; former pro softball player Jennie Finch Daigle; retired professional baseball outfielder Johnny Damon; and Washington Redskins’ cornerback Josh Norman.
