The memory of Kelly Arnold will be celebrated at a gathering of his friends at the American Legion Hall in South Lake Tahoe on May 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Kelly Jay Arnold, 56, of South Lake Tahoe, California died from a brain abscess on April 1, 2019, in Reno, Nevada.
Kelly was born in Greeley, Colorado on March 24, 1963 to Gerald and Dorothy (Bartlett) Arnold. Growing up he was active in Boy Scouts and attended John Evans and Greeley Central High School.
On Oct 16, 1982, he married Leysa Dyrud, and they both worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Greeley. They later divorced and he moved to Lake Tahoe where he met Angela Spier. They spent many years together.
Kelly had many friends and loved his job delivering pizza for Domino's Pizza for almost 20 years. But, most of all. Kelly loved his cat, "Kitty", and he was devastated when Kitty was killed last year.
He is preceded in death by his father, brothers Robin and Mike Arnold, great-niece Kelsi Colton, and great-nephew Cody VanDoren. He is survived by his mother, brother Pat (Yolanda) Arnold, sister Judy White, niece, and nephews Dawn, Shawn and Jason Arnold, niece Tarah White, and his aunt, Lois Batlett, and many other cousins and extended family.
All of Kelly's friends are invited to his memorial at the American Legion. Food and soft drinks are welcome to be brought to the event, but no outside alcohol.
