DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The body of a man found in the hills off the roadway near Jack Wright Pass in Douglas County on April 28 has been identified as 45-year-old Lance Scott Durkac from Boulder, Colorado.
Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) investigations division and Search and Rescue both responded to the hills known locally as American Flats just after the body was located at 5:30 p.m. by a hiker in the area. The deceased man was positively identified through the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office Monday and next-of-kin was notified. They have determined Durkac's death was of a non-suspicious nature.
Back on February 20, 2020, DCSO investigated a report of a missing person in the area of Jack Wright Pass/State Route 208 but the person was not found at that time.
