Three arrested in Stateline drug operation bust

STATELINE, Nev. - An early morning raid on a home at the top of Kingsbury Grade has resulted in the arrest of three people.

On Thursday, May 14, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team executed a search warrant at a home on Bonnie Court in Stateline after a five-month-long investigation. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) Street Enforcement Team has been looking into the methamphetamine trafficking activities of Joseph Cudia, a 45-year-old male from Sacramento and Diego Coralles, a 47-year-old male from South Lake Tahoe.

Coralles and Cudia were hiding out in the home on Bonnie Court, which is a vacation rental, without permission from the homeowner.

They were arrested without incident.

During the course of the investigation, over 500 grams (1.1 pounds) of methamphetamine was allegedly purchased during undercover operations.

Cudia and Coralles were both booked into the Douglas County Jail and are being charged with Trafficking a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Their bail was set at $50,000 each. Cudia also had a Fugitive Warrant out of El Dorado County.

A third suspect, 27-year-old Meagan Turkington of South Lake Tahoe, who was also illegally staying at the home, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bail is set at $8,000.
