ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. – Area youth are invited to participate in the Zephyr Cove Tennis Club's summer programs which include camps and a free tennis skill class.
On June 8, a free event at the courts will be designed as a refresher for those who have swung a racket before and a chance for newcomers to learn the basics. It is open to anyone ages 4-12. The two-hour session from 11:00 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. will be overseen by the club’s head pro Dave Nostrant. Nostrant has decades of experience teaching all ages and abilities. This is his third summer at the Lake Tahoe club.
“Like all activities, it’s best to have the proper instruction from the get-go so it’s not necessary to have to unlearn bad habits,” Nostrant said. “This day will be all about showing kids how fun tennis is.”
Wear athletic clothes and shoes with non-marking soles. A few rackets will be available to borrow. Bring water and wear sunscreen. Register online: https://www.zctennis.com/registration-for-kids-free-tennis-clinic/.
