A World Music Night for Nepal held at UNR

TACH, in association with Nepalese Association of UNR and co-sponsored by Joe Crowley Student Union at UNR in Reno, presents “A World Music Night” for an effort to support the earthquake victims of Nepal on Friday May 29th at 7:00 p.m., The concert will be held in The Theatre in the Joe Crowley Student Union on the 3rd Floor.

The event includes Reno musicians Chakrapani Singh playing North Indian ragas on his 35-stringed Kachaapi Veena (Indian slide guitar), Dallas Smith and Susan Mazer playing jazz harp and woodwinds, Slow Djinn Fez performing middle-eastern / jazz fusion, and singer-songwriter Jim Eaglesmith on folk guitar.

Nepalese Student Association will present a slide show of the aftermath of the earthquake, in order to encourage audience members to reflect on the suffering and needs of the affected people.

Tickets can be purchased with a donation of $15 either at the door or online at tach.info . Checks are also acceptable - payable to TACH International, Inc.

TACH (Traditional Association for Cultural Harmony) is well known for their continuous effort for cultural promotions and trying to support to make Reno as a cultural hub through it’s outstanding events.

It is working to establish a Music, Meditation, Pranayam & Yoga Center. Where people can learn healing music which is going to be very helpful in health wise as well as to get relief from tension & problems.
