Lake Tahoe area roadwork schedule May 29 - June 3

Most lane closures are restricted until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31 because of the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

LONG-TERM PROJECTS

May 31-June 3 - State Route 89 (Placer County) from Mankato Place to Olympic Drive South: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations around the clock from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Friday for drainage work and roadway excavation.

Project 1 on map: May 31-June 3 - State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from 10th Street to 13th Street: Northbound motorists can expect the #2 lane and shoulder closed around the clock from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 7 a.m. Friday for curb, gutter and sidewalk work.

Project 2 on map: June 1-3 - State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Cascade Road to Cascade Creek: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 2 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Thursday and 2 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday for shoulder work.

June 1-3 - State Route 28 (Placer County) from the junction with State Route 267 to Chipmunk Street: Motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon Friday for utility work.

May 31-June 4 - U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Latrobe Road/El Dorado Hills Road to Bass Lake Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures and ramp closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday for traffic signal work.

SHORT-TERM PROJECTS

State Route 49 (El Dorado County) from Pleasant Valley Road East to Bradley Drive in Diamond Springs: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday for utility work.

Project 13 on map: U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Truckee Drive to River Drive and from Trout Creek to Tulare Avenue/Al Tahoe Boulevard: Eastbound motorists can expect lane closures around the clock from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Friday for gas line utility work. The median (days) and westbound #1 lane (nights) will be used for eastbound traffic.

State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Glenridge to Sugar Pine State Park: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for utility work.

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Mackinaw Road to Chinquapin in Dollar Point: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for grinding and paving work.

State Route 28 (Placer County) from Robert Avenue to Ridgewood Road in Ridgewood: Eastbound motorists and bicyclists can expect shoulder closures from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for utility work.

State Route 89 (Placer County) from Fern Street to Trout Street in Homewood: Southbound motorists and bicyclists can expect shoulder closures from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday for work on the multi-use path extension.

State Route 193 (El Dorado County) at Rock Creek Road: Motorists can expect long-term signalized one-way traffic control for emergency repair work, which is scheduled to be completed by July.

State Route 267 (Nevada County) from the Interstate 80 junction to Brockway Road/Soaring Way: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for pavement repair.

State Route 267 (Placer County) from the Nevada County line to Carnelian Bay Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for pavement work.
