Wide range of weather in South Lake Tahoe forecast

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Temperatures will return to around average by Monday then trend much warmer through Thursday and there will be chances for showers and
thunderstorms each afternoon and evening. A stronger storm system for early June reaches the Pacific Northwest coast next weekend for increased winds, much cooler
temperatures, and chances for showers in the Lake Tahoe Basin, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

The NWS Reno forecast for the week:

Monday - A chance of showers between 11am and 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. South wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night - A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of showers between 9pm and 11pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 43. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday - A slight chance of showers between 11am and 2pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. East wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Thursday - A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.
