Cowboys & Carousels the theme of this year's El Dorado County Fair

With only an interruption during World War II, the El Dorado County Fair has been going strong since 1859. The 2016 fair will be held June 16-19, 2016 at the fairgrounds in Placerville.

South Lake Tahoe City Councilmember Tom Davis, a long time board member of the fair, is this year's Board President.

Each ride requires 3-5 tickets except 6 for the Zipper

Children must be 3 years old or at least 36” tall to ride mechanical carnival rides. Exception: Carousel (parents may ride carousel with children under 3 and under 36” and no ticket for parent is needed). Carnival Ride Limits: Access to some carnival rides may be denied for safety reasons for visitors with physical disabilities such as casts.
