Fireside Chat: Civic Pioneers, the trial and tribulations of forming South Lake Tahoe

Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society for their next "Fireside Chat" which will focus on the forming of South Lake Tahoe as a city.
Three of the community's founding members, Laurel Ames, Betty Mitchell and John Cefalu will share their experiences back in the early 1960s.
South Lake Tahoe was the second city formed in El Dorado County's history.
The Fireside Chat will be held on Wednesday, June 10 beginning at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 1901 Airport Rd.
Admission is free for Historical Society members and $3 for non-members. Memberships can be paid for at the museum which is open Thursday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applications can be found on their website. Memberships start at $5 for kids and $20 for seniors.
