Next Lake Tahoe Historical Society Fireside Chat on Highway 395

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is holding its next Fireside Chat at the historic Camp Richardson Hotel on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. The speaker that evening will be author David Woodruff. His presentation will be "Tales Along El Camino Sierra, A Sentimental Journey along Highway 395," the topic of two of his books.
Fireside Chats are held in the lobby in front of their fireplace.
Woodruff will share 100 years of the sentimental journey along the road that takes travelers from Lake Tahoe to the Mojave. His collection of stories includes the people, places and events over the years.
The cost is free to members of the Lake Tahoe Historical Society and $3 for the public. Memberships are available starting at $20 per year for seniors, $25 for those under 60 and $40 for families.
Woodruff's books will be available for purchase at the event. For those wanting books before the event (and after), visit the museum. They are open on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the books this month are 25% off.
