3,500 cyclists will take part in America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride

Cyclists from around the country have descended upon South Lake Tahoe for the 24th annual America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe on Sunday, June 7, 2015.

All 3,500 spots have been filled by riders participating in the 72-mile around the lake ride, the 100-mile Century ride and the 35-mile fun ride which includes a boat cruise.

Hwy 89 will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The riders will be taking off from the parking lot at the Hard Rock Lake Tahoe. Century riders leave in 15-minute start windows between 6:00 a.m. and 7 a.m., the 72-mile riders have two 15-minute start windows from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., and the Boat Cruise 35-mile fun ride starts from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. where they'll ride the one mile to Ski Run Marina to board the Tahoe Queen Paddlewheeler starting at 7:15 a.m. Departure is 8:00 a.m.

Over the past 14 years, over 19,500 team members riding in America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride have raised over $65.8 Million to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life for their patients and families.

After the ride there will be an after party at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe for riders only. Deep Fryed Mojo will be performing at the pool for participants.
