Local Freshies hosting SLT premiere of Finding Fontinalis

Event Date:
July 6, 2017 - 6:00pm

Patagonia’s newest film, Finding Fontinalis, will have its South Lake Tahoe premiere on Thursday, July 6 at South Lake Brewing Company.

Local Freshies, in association with Patagonia, is hosting the free, family friendly event. The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

This premiere is a fundraiser for California Trout.

Finding Fontinalis is inspired by an old gaucho’s tale of “The place with the big red fish.” Gauchos are cowboys residing in the Patagonian grasslands of South America. With filmmaker Travis Lowe, a crew of fishermen set out to search for a new world-record brook trout. During this journey, the water, landscape and culture surrounding it become the impetus to conserve and protect it all. This amazing documentary will take you to the heart of Patagonia and one of the last remaining, world class brook trout fisheries.

During the evening there will be a raffle which includes chances to win an introductory course to fly fishing from Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters, a YETI cooler from Outdoor Gear Lab, and more from event sponsors.

This will definitely be a unique event that is more than just a movie premiere. It’s about bringing our communities together to make a difference.

South Lake Brewing Company is located at 1920 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.
