SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be above-average temperatures continuing through this week, likely the warmest day will be Tuesday at almost 90. Winds will be lighter Monday followed by more typical afternoon westerly breezes by midweek. There are chances for thunderstorms Tuesday-Thursday mainly in the Sierra and near the Oregon border. A cooler system is possible for the end of the month, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno:

Monday - Sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night - Clear, with a low around 55. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Light west wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 85.
