SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There will be above-average temperatures continuing through this week, likely the warmest day will be Tuesday at almost 90. Winds will be lighter Monday followed by more typical afternoon westerly breezes by midweek. There are chances for thunderstorms Tuesday-Thursday mainly in the Sierra and near the Oregon border. A cooler system is possible for the end of the month, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno:
