Lake Tahoe Airport Manager leaving for Chico job

After seven years on the job in South Lake Tahoe, Sherry Miller is headed to Chico as their new airport manager. Hired by David Jinkins in 2009 as the City's airport manager, Miller's last day on the job will be Friday, June 24.
Miller was in Chico last week to meet the five members of their airport commission prior to their confirming her appointment by Mark Orme, the Chico City Manager.
Orme the Chico Enterprise-Record that he had received resumes from as far away as Alaska and the Great Lakes, “but the person with the most depth of experience and the right fit for Chico was a couple of hours away.”
Miller graduated with a BS in Aviation Managment from Southern Illinois University and earned her Masters in Public Administration from National University. She has worked for 11 different airports and held management positions at nine of them.
