One of the country's favorite discount stores has opened a store on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. Dollar Tree held a grand opening on Saturday, July 5th at it's Round Hill Mall location.
"You'll be amazed at what you can find at Dollar Tree," manager Lance Hendee told SouthTahoeNow. "We carry almost everything under the sun."
Hendee said their grand opening was a little slow, but that they were expecting that due to the holiday and the fact that "most people don't know we're here."
The new store carries frozen food items, hair and makeup supplies, containers of all shapes and sizes as well as back to school and party supplies.
Dollar Tree at Round Hill is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hendee said they'll keep those hours for the first except for longer hours for the Christmas holidays. South Lake Tahoe will be a test run for the national chain, which has over 4,900 locations, as they'll see how seasons affect business and they may adjust hours after the first year.
The store employees one manager, three assistant managers and 15 employees.
