7/16/14 update: The accident occurred when 18 year old Alex Sanchez of Zephyr Cove swerved to miss a bear killed by a previous driver. Law enforcement was headed to the original accident when Sanchez came upon the bear in the road, served to miss it and flipped his 2000 Toyota. The car was totaled and Sanchez is recovering from bruises suffered from the tightening of his seat belt. The driver, from Sun Valley, NV, who hit the bear was driving a Ford Explorer and had his family in the car. Nobody sought medical attention after the accident.
