2nd annual South Tahoe Beach Wrestling Championships on Saturday

Beach wrestling is returning to South Lake Tahoe and everyone is invited to participate. Local wrestling coaches Ryan Wallace and Dave Borges are continuing with the success of their inaugural event in 2015, and holding their 2nd annual tournament on Saturday, July 16 at 9:00 a.m. on El Dorado Beach at Lakeview Commons.

Once again, South Tahoe Stand Up Paddle and the Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe are sponsoring the event along with the help of the South Lake Tahoe Police Activities League (PAL).

Boys and girls ages 5 and up, men and women, young and old are invited to participate. The fee is $10 per wrestler.

Prizes will be awarded to the top four in each division with a trophy to the Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Weigh-ins will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (wear wrestling attire). The first matches start at 10:00 a.m.
