Tahoe Regional Young Professionals host fundraiser for Humane Society at Lakeview Commons

Event Date:
August 18, 2012 - 1:00pm

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals inaugural TRYP-Stock will raise funds for Tahoe’s Animal Humane Society, Saturday, August 18 from 1 - 5 p.m. at El Dorado Beach - the new Lakeview Commons. The 60s-themed "Peace, Love & Puppies" party provides locals, visitors and kids of all ages, an afternoon filled with music on the beach, costumes, games, contests, vendors, food and beverages.

The event will focus on raising funds for our four-legged friends, which are also invited. Dogs must be leashed. There will also be a puppy standup paddle race. Festivities will be jam-packed with 60s music, dance competitions, hula-hooping, ladder golf, corn hole along with a costume contest for owners and pets.

Raffle prizes and silent auction items are donated by local businesses and consist of popular restaurants, recreational activities, gift baskets, bottles of wine and a trip to Las Vegas (airfare not included). All proceeds will be donated directly to the Animal Humane Society.

Attendees are encouraged to wear 60s attire, although it’s not required, but will help make the afternoon more rockin’. Food and beverages will be for sale with a significant percentage of proceeds to benefit the Animal Humane Society. The on-site Beer Garden offers attendees, 21 and older, to purchase PBR and Blue Angel Pale Ale.

A special thank you to Blue Angel Cafe, City of South Lake Tahoe, Howard SEM, Tahoe Production House and Tahoe Stand Up Paddle for their participation. To become a sponsor or to reserve a free* vendor space, contact TRYP’s Special Event Director, DaNae’ Kamber at danae.kamber@gmail.com.

*Vendor space is free if products/services are donated to either the raffle or silent auction.
