Volunteers pitch in with Al Tahoe neighborhood clean-up

Neighbors in Al Tahoe participated in a volunteer clean-up effort Saturday as an outcome of their most recent neighborhood meeting. Gerry and Jill Carter were the first to arrive and started collecting trash and debris at Regan Beach.
A local neighbor who was unable to tackle years of mounting debris from previous tenants was the recipient of a group volunteer effort. With the help of a volunteer with a trailer, the group was able to remove an old sofa, dilapidated shed remnants and an assortment of materials which were hauled off the property and created a dramatic improvement.
The City of South Lake Tahoe has created a Neighborhood Service Team program as part of its initiative to partner with our citizens to help increase communications with neighbors and help facilitate positive improvements in your neighborhood.
