This year it was all about the arm wrestling at Celebrity Golf in Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Football great A.J. Hawk has a history at Edgewood Tahoe, and it's not by winning the American Century Championship and the $125,000 the winner takes home.

In 2014 a group of friends dared Hawk to tackle their friend on the 7th fairway. After that video went viral, who knew what the follow up between the fan and Hawk would be in 2015. The linebacker "flattened" the fan, Roseville business owner Ben Heaps. Bringing a new angle to this relationship, 2016 saw Heaps inside a large inflatable bubble, and when he was hit by Hawk he rolled down the fairway.

This year, as Hawk approached the 7th hole, people once again wondered what would happen between Hawk and Heaps. A table was set up at the tee, one seat at each side. Was it going to be a tackle or dinner or two?

Neither....Heaps and Hawk were going to arm wrestle to see who would be "King of the 7th."

John Parilo, co-owner of event app wimZr, the sponsor of the hole, got the men started on the battle as they were surrounded by media, friends and others.

Heaps edged ahead, then Hawk fought back and gained ground, then it was dead even for several minutes. Sweat formed on the brows of both men as their hands went slightly to the left, then to the right.

And then, it was over. 33-year-old Hawk won this round.

"I didn't want to be 'that' guy," said Heaps of his defeat. "I let him win," he added jokingly.

The 36-year-old Heap owns a glass company in Roseville, Calif., but comes to Lake Tahoe each year with his friends who take over the 7th hole every Thursday of the annual American Century Championship.

What will happen in 2018? You'll have to stop by and find out.
