South Tahoe CrossFit co-owner Tim Anderson declared 'fittest' among Masters at Reebok CrossFit Games

Tim Anderson, co-owner of South Tahoe CrossFit, won the Masters Division in the Reebok CrossFit Games in southern California on Sunday. This makes him "fittest" man in his age group of 55-60.
The games were at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., where thousands of participants were whittled down to around a 100 of the fittest men and women in the world.
CrossFit Games events are composed of a broad range of functional movements. Functional movements move large loads, long distances, quickly. The movements also form the basis of the exercise program.

Here's what was on the Official Games Website:

The winner of the 55-59 Division, Tim Anderson, only had one first-place finish all weekend, but his consistent performance was good enough for first place in his age group, which was hotly contested. Anderson tied in points with Rick Rodriguez but earned the win with more higher placing across the 7 events. Incredibly, Garry Jones was only a single point behind.

To make the games much more spontaneous, athletes engage in a series of challenges unknown to them until right before the competition. The combination of highly trained athletes and unknown workouts makes for an explosive mix, according to the website.
