A 22-year-old man from Oakland, Calif., drowned off the shore of South Lake Tahoe on Saturday after a jet skiing accident.

About an hour later, officers on the helicopter spotted the body of a man under the surface. Responders attempted life saving efforts and transported the man back to the pier at 7:28 p.m. where they were met by SLT Fire Rescue medics.

Williams was pronounced deceased at 7:50 p.m. according to SLTPD Lt. Travis Cabral.
