Utility trailers have become a popular target of thieves recently in South Lake Tahoe. Over the last few weeks almost a dozen trailers of all sizes have been stolen from homes and businesses.
Cardinale Way Toyota had a single car hauler stolen from their lot, a utility company had a trailer stolen, as have local contractors and residents.
A couple of trailers have been recovered, apparently ditched according to South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Josh Adler.
SLTPD doesn't have any leads yet on the thefts but are working on finding the culprit(s). If anyone has any information they are asked to call the department at 530-542-6100.
