Upcoming Economic Summit: Transform Tahoe

What happens when you bring together people who are community-minded, movers, shakers and even disruptors who want to work collaboratively to create positive change to the Lake Tahoe region?

Find out at the annual Lake Tahoe economic summit "Transform Tahoe" hosted by the Tahoe Prosperity Center on Friday, October 11 at the North Lake Tahoe Events Center.

A day full of interactive and collaborative sessions will examine the opportunities for positive change as participants discuss and examine day-to-day challenges while also stepping back to look at the bigger picture.

Keynote speakers share their wisdom from the trenches. Collaborative peer group sessions allow you to contribute with the leaders of the Lake Tahoe region to share and brainstorm ideas, opening up to new ways of thinking and solving wicked regional messes.

Speakers will be Ashley Swearengin, President and CEO of the Central Valley Community Foundation, Carl Ribaudo of SMG Consulting, Mark Davis of The Pourhouse, John Rice of Sierra-at-Tahoe, Roger Lee of Economic Development for Central Oregon, Andrea Clark of The Pacific Companies and Jack Paddon of Williams & Paddon Architecture.

There will be a panel discussion and break out sessions on Housing, Workforce Development, Innovative Economies and the day will wrap up with Group Discussion on Leading, Impacting, Solving challenges.

Lake Tahoe may be made up of many communities, but we are one lake and one regional economy, so what affects some of us, affects all of us. The Tahoe Prosperity Center is hosting the third annual summit to catalyze change and take action for the benefit of that regional economy.

The theme for this year is “Transforming Tahoe.” They expect government leaders, local residents, business owners, real estate professionals, start-up companies, developers, investors and entrepreneurs will all be at this Summit.
