Fire Station #1 located at 1252 Ski Run Blvd.
Fire Station #2 located at 2951 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Fire Station #3 located at 2101 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Every year, the week containing October 10 in it is National Fire Week. From October 8 to October 10, 1871, fire destroyed 3.3 miles of Chicago, IL, killing about 300 people and leaving 100,000 homeless. The popular, and coloful, story of the cause of the fire was the Patrick and Catherine O'Leary cow who tipped over a lantern in their barn.

On that same night, 2,500 died in a firestorm near Peshtigo and Green Bay, WI when a fire meant to clear forest land for farming and the railroad created a fire storm that swept through several communities.
