Slight warming for South Lake Tahoe; Chance of rain in week ahead

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - On Sunday, a slight system will make its way through the
region, which will bring chances for light rain and mountain obscurations in the eastern Sierra. Gusty east-northeasterly winds as high as 60 kts are expected over the Sierra Sunday evening into Monday morning, as well as the possibility of mountaintop turbulence west of the Sierra crest.

After the cool temperatures, brisk north winds and drier conditions for the

remainder of weekend, temperatures will warm a few degrees early next week with overall drier conditions and lighter winds expected.

Tonight - A 20 percent chance of rain before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

Sunday - Sunny, with a high near 57. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 27. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Columbus Day - Sunny, with a high near 62. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 31. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 65.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 63.

Wednesday Night - A slight chance of rain after 11pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 61.

Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 31.

Friday - Sunny, with a high near 63.

Friday Night - Clear, with a low around 32.

Saturday - Sunny, with a high near 65.
