South Tahoe High homecoming festivities include parade and football games

Event Date:
October 12, 2018 - 3:30pm

South Tahoe High School has invited the community to attend their Homecoming festivities on October 12, 2018. All week long the students have been having theme days, all leading up to the big day.

The special day starts with the Homecoming Parade starting at 3:30 p.m. They leave the LTUSD bus garage on Al Tahoe Boulevard and make their way down Lake Tahoe Boulevard to the South Tahoe High School Viking Stadium.

This year's theme is "Music through the Decades."

Enjoy music and floats from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, the entourage of elementary school floats, school buses, the Royal Court convertible, and dump trucks full of teenagers spilling Viking pride all over the city!

After the parade, the games begin against Dayton High School. The Freshman team takes the field at 4:30 p.m. followed by Varsity at 7:00 p.m. Half-time fun includes the Cheer and Dance Teams, float procession around the field and the Homecoming Royal Court.

Dress warm for those bleachers (in your Viking Spirit blue and gold Wear of course) and if you’re lacking in Viking garb, no worries, just pick up a hoodie or a hat at the ASB stand.

Tickets are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students; kids under 8 and seniors over 60 are FREE.
