Genoa Station Bar and Grill fire contained to kitchen and attic; S.R. 206 closed for two hours

Arson has been ruled out but an investigation is ongoing after a fire Friday morning at the Genoa Station Grill and Bar adjacent to the Genoa Town Hall.
Douglas County Dispatch received a 911 call of a structure fire at the Genoa Station Grill and Bar, which is a newer business adjacent to the Genoa Town Hall. East Fork Fire and Paramedic District along with Douglas County Sheriff’s Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene, said DCSO Sgt. Pat Brooks.
The fire broke out in the kitchen area and was contained to the kitchen and attic area, estimated damage costs at this time is approximately $75,000. The cause of is still under investigation and there were no injuries.
