South Shore casinos continue fiscal year trend: Income on the rise

For the first three months of the fiscal year, income for casinos on the South Shore is on the rise, with a gain of 2.27 percent in September, 2016. After business expenses and taxes, the gaming establishments took in $21,730,716, up $482,998 from the same month in 2015 according to a monthly report released by the Nevada Gaming Commission today.

The state of Nevada as a whole is up 3.55 percent with a "win" figure of $948,961,678.

North Shore casinos posted a 6.37 percent gain, Carson Valley up 1.54 percent.

The big loser in the state were the casinos on the Boulder Strip, whose September gaming figures were down 21.82 percent after their income of $56,476,894 was posted.
