Chain controls up on Tahoe area roads

Chain controls are up on area roads this morning after the passing of a small storm overnight.
As of 7:00 a.m. Tuesday:
Highway 50 over Echo Summit: Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel / all wheel drive vehicles with snow treaded tires on all wheels from Meyers to Twin Bridges.
Highway 50 over Spooner Summit: Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel / all wheel drive vehicles with snow treaded tires on all wheels in Douglas County Mile Marker 9.5 to Miler Marker 14.6, in the area of Glenbrook to over top of summit.
SR 267 on the North Shore: Chains, traction devices or snow tires are required on the drive axle of all vehicles except four wheel or all wheel drive vehicles from Kings Beach to North Star Road.
I-80: Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel / all wheel drive vehicles with snow treaded tires on all wheels from Kingvale to Donner Lake interchange.
SR 437: Chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four wheel / all wheel drive vehicles with snow treaded tires on all wheels in Washoe County from Mile Marker 4.9 to Mile Marker 14.6.
