Light Up South Shore homes and businesses for Tahoe Chamber contest

Let's start dreaming of a BRIGHT Christmas! Get out your jingle bells, your silver bells, your boughs of holly, and your LIGHTS! The Tahoe Chamber in launching the Light Up the South Shore Holiday Light Contest to spark some holiday cheer, showcase our creative community, and illuminate the town.

Will we be bright enough to be seen from SpaceX and the Space Station?

Businesses and residents are invited to enter the decoration contest to compete for awesome prizes and full year of bragging rights. The deadline to register is December 7, 2020. All entries will be included on the Holiday Lights Trail map, which will be shared with the community for a festive and safe holiday activity.

Best in Show = One FREE year of Chamber Membership ($325 value)

The Clark Griswold Award (most lights) =$200 Business Marketing Package
Best Window Display = Staff Pizza Party

Community Categories:

The Neighbor that SLEIGH-d Award = $200 in local gift cards. All residents that enter will also be entered in to win a Tahoe Staycation Package.

People’s Choice Award = "The People's Ornament" Trophy - ​Businesses and Residents are eligible for this award. The winner will be determined by popular vote through the Tahoe Chamber social media pages.

Participants can sign up for the contest at https://bit.ly/LightUptheSouthShore. All participants should be willing to share their home and/or business address (private residents will not have their names listed). Contest registration is free for all Tahoe Chamber members, $25 for non-chamber businesses, and $10 for residents to enter to be judged (being listed on the map is optional). Homes and businesses submitted for the competition will be collectively judged by the Merry & Bright Ambassadors on December 21.
