South Lake Tahoe Open House book signing for local novelist Robert Max

Event Date:
December 8, 2019 - 2:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – “The police work is authentic, although unconventional. The danger will set you on edge. But above all, NO FORCED ENTRY is a marvelous and unique story that will touch your heart, make you look over your shoulder, and think twice before opening your door,” said retired South Lake Tahoe Police Chief Terry Daniels of Robert Max’s new thriller.

Local novelist Robert Max will be at the Lake Tahoe Historical Society Museum for an open house that includes a book talk and book signing on Sunday, December 8 from 2:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. The public is invited to stop by, meet the author and hear him talk about the book as well as buy an autographed copy. Max will be speaking at 3:00 p.m.

No Forced Entry takes place in New York and Lake Tahoe.

“My time behind a tin (NYPD slang for a badge) helps to ensure that the police work in this book, and in the next, is accurate,” says Max. “Over the years, in New York and in California, in classrooms and in the street, I’ve learned much about life and death, about human nature, about what motivates people to do the things they do, about love and loss, and about writing what I think is a suspenseful, often humorous, cinematic, and compelling novel. I hope you’ll agree.”

Robert Max was born and raised in New York City. He attended the City University of New York, earning a degree with honors in Political Science and Psychology. After ten years’ experience in law enforcement in New York he moved to the Sierra Nevada.
