Survey for older El Dorado County residents to share experiences

The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, Area Agency on Aging (AAA), in partnership with the Commission on Aging, is conducting a needs assessment survey of older adults in the community. El Dorado County residents aged 60 and older are encouraged to complete the survey, but interested residents of any age may provide their feedback. The survey, which is open through January 3, 2020, may be accessed online at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/2020OlderAdultSurvey

“This survey will help identify the needs, priorities and challenges faced by current and future seniors in our county,” said Richard Todd, Program Manager with El Dorado County Older Adult Services. “The results of the survey will also help the AAA develop its four-year Area Plan which outlines the services and programs for older adults that will be delivered within our communities.”

Survey participants will be asked about their experiences accessing services and resources in the county, problems or challenges they have faced related to aging or retiring in the community, demographic and other information.

For questions, or to have a survey sent through the U.S. mail, please contact Yasmin Hichborn, Department Analyst with the Health and Human Services Agency, by phone at (530) 642-4833 or via email at yasmin.hichborn@edcgov.us. Copies of the survey are also available at the Placerville Senior Center, the El Dorado Hills Senior Center and the Cameron Park Community Center.
