Missing woman found alive in Alpine County, body of boyfriend found

A woman was found injured in Alpine County after she and her boyfriend car got stuck in the snow for nearly a week. The body of her boyfriend was found nearby. The couple The couple, Roderick Paul Clifton and Paula Lane, was last seen leaving Citrus Heights for Gardnerville, Nev. on Thursday, Nov. 29. They were reported missing by relatives when they didn't answer their cell phones.
Citrus Heights police Officer Bryan G. Fritsch said during a news conference Wednesday night that the couple's car got stuck in the snow while driving on Burnside Road. Fritsch said the couple most likely spent that first night in the car.
Because of their location in the mountains, Clifton and Lane did not have cell reception, Fritsch said.

Eventually, Clifton ventured out to get help, but did not return; Lane then went to search for help. Lane was found walking along Highway 88/89 in Alpine County. Fritsch said it is believed Lane was found by a family member.
