A few hours after Wendy David was elected as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of South Lake Tahoe, her former colleagues at the LTUSD School Board elected a new president.
Barbara Bannar, the trustee from Area 5, was elected President with Dr. Larry Green elected Clerk of the Board. Green represents Area 4. He was also named Representative to the El Dorado County School Boards Association (EDCSBA) where he serves as Vice President. Bannar was named the Representative to the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation.
New comer Ginger Nicolay-Davis took her place on the board for the first time. Dr. Michael Doyle returned.
Sue Novasel, who just won the El Dorado County Supervisor race for District 5 can no longer service on the school board. Someone will be named to her seat in January and applications and requirements will soon be posted to the District's website.
The next Board meeting will be held on January 13, 2015.
