Holiday Parade heads through South Lake Tahoe Saturday

Event Date:
December 12, 2015 - 3:00pm

The fourth annual Holiday Parade will make its way through South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, December 12 starting at 3:00 p.m.

Golden Bear Events is the organizer of the event which will raise money and food for Christmas Cheer, South Lake Tahoe's year-round food pantry.

This year, ten parade entries will start at the top of Ski Run Blvd, head down towards the lake, turn west on Highway 50 and end in the TJMaxx parking lot where people can enjoy cookies and a visit with Santa Claus. The parade should end there at approximately 3:45 p.m.

There will be barrels out at the end of the route for non-perishable food and new toy donations for Christmas Cheer.

South Tahoe Refuse is sponsoring the parade which will have a South Lake Tahoe Police escorting twelve floats and cars including City Council Member Tom Davis, Christmas Cheer All Year, EverythingTahoe.com, Emerald Bay Towing, California Highway Patrol, California Colors, and Golden Bear Events.

Fireside Lodge donated the parade entry for Christmas Cheer. All proceeds will go to the non-profit which feeds families and individuals from the community.
