Sales tax revenues increase in South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County
Submitted by paula on Wed, 02/26/2020 - 3:15pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Quarterly reports on the sales tax received by the City of South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County (EDC) were released this week. The quarter ending September 2019 shows the County's taxable sales in the unincorporated area grew by 4.3 percent when compared to the same period in 2018. In South Lake Tahoe, taxable sales grew by 6.0 percent. County-wide including both cities within its boundaries saw a 5.1 percent increase. In comparison, the Sacramento region was up 4.5 percent.
Mark Carlson promoted to Assistant City Manager

Citing his exemplary service, City Manager Nancy Kerry made the announcement of his promotion during Tuesday's City Council meeting.
How the City of South Lake Tahoe plans to spend $73 million
Submitted by paula on Wed, 09/02/2015 - 8:43pmCity Manager Nancy Kerry and Mark Carlson, the City's Administrative Services Director presented the 2015-16 Fiscal year budget to the South Lake Tahoe City Council during a workshop Tuesday.
"There is a lot we can be proud of," Kerry said.
The budget process has been ongoing since May, involving staff in making the decision on where to cut back, and where to spend.

Originally, Vinciguerra Construction was awarded the project even though their bid wasn't the lowest. The City felt the lowest bid, submitted by Burdick Excavating Company, didn't meet all of the federally required regulations (required due to federal financing).

PACE to help home and business owners in South Lake Tahoe

Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) is a volunteer program which will give property owners a chance to improve their properties. Figtree Financing and the California Enterprise Development Authority (CEDA) will facilitate the program in the city.
