INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival this summer will feature a wide variety of musicians along with its mainstage production of Little Shop of Horrors.

All the fun takes place at Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, seven nights a week June 30-August 21, 2023.

Review: Love Without Mercy, Sans Merci is another knockout from local Black Ice Theatre Company

There is theater, there is poetry, and then there is Sans Merci. There is sequence about one hour into the play Sans Merci, playing at the Duke Theater at Lake Tahoe Community College, that breathlessly and perfectly encapsulates the beauty of live theater, and it does so in shear silence. It is easy for a play to make you cry with dramatic dialogue. I have never had a play break me down to my core without a single word uttered on stage for several minutes as happens in Sans Merci.

It's showtime for the 35th consecutive year for Marcia Sarosik's Shining Stars

Over 200 dancers of all ages graced the stage at Harrah's Tahoe during each show of the Marcia Sarosik Dance Studio last weekend as the annual recitals opened up to full houses. The shows continued Saturday, April 28.

The opening night is still being talked about, especially the opening number, The Greatest Show on Earth, though details are being kept secret until all have seen the show. Other numbers include Put a Little Love in Your Heart, Catch a Falling Star, Sit Still Look Pretty, Bitter and Sweet Symphony, True Colors and Buenos Aires.

Review: Dinner theater in South Lake Tahoe a real treat

For a second year, the Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe has brought live theater to the Lake Tahoe Golf Course. This year, a production of Divorce Southern Style hits the stage created inside the clubhouse.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I received my tickets, but I was thoroughly impressed and the night was very enjoyable with a great three-course dinner and lots of laughs.

The golf course's brand new bar was unveiled on opening night of "Divorce," so it was the centerpiece before the food and entertainment. Beautifully done with copper and wood throughout.

Shakespeare at Lake Tahoe's Sand Harbor entertains with two plays

LAKE TAHOE - The summer of 2017 is the 45th anniversary of the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor. If you have never been, this should be the year. Sit in the sand and enjoy not only great productions on the Warren Edward Trepp Stage at water's edge, but also an eclectic food and beverage area (or bring your own).

Two shows will be on the stage, alternating nights, Tuesday-Sunday through August 27.
