Heavenly Village Turkey Drive gathers 350 turkeys for Christmas Cheer

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Christmas is going to be merrier for families on the south shore after an outpouring of support for those less fortunate this holiday season. There have been toy and food drives, and one of those recently held was by The Shops at Heavenly Village and Dreu Murin Productions.
Author of "My Father's Big Toe" to give readings and autographs

Stories for all ages make up author Johanne Carreau Cronk's first book, My Father's Big Toe, and now the book is available during a book signing and storytelling day at Tahoe Toys and Treasures.
The book is about world traveler and former South Lake Tahoe resident Gilbert Carreau and the stories he would tell his children as they gathered around.

Tahoe Toys and Treasure invites the community to celebrate the opening of their new business with a ribbon cutting ceremony with TahoeChamber on August 8 at 11 a.m.. Owner France Carreau invites parents and their children to check out her new store and meet special guest Gumby. The first 30 children to visit the store will receive special door prizes.
New Toy Store Opens in South Lake Tahoe

France Carreau turned the disappointing closing of one long time business into the creation of another. Her dream store, Tahoe Toys & Treasures, opens in South Lake Tahoe on July 1st.
Carreau owned The Yellow Pager, the local AT&T store for two decades when she found out at the beginning of the year that she was being replaced as the local AT&T retailer. She turned the shock into the energy needed to create the type of store she'd always wanted, a toy store full of educational, organic and fun hands on toys.
