Where to watch Superbowl LIV in South Lake Tahoe

Super Bowl LIV, the 54th Super Bowl (the 50th modern-era National Football League championship game) will decide the champion for the NFL's 2019 and 100th season. The National Football Conference champion San Francisco 49ers will play against the American Football Conference champion Kansas City Chiefs.
No matter who you are rooting for, or if you just enjoy watching the game which is known for epic halftime shows and commercials (and championship football), South Lake Tahoe and Stateline are providing parties and fun spaces to do so on Sunday.

Twelve of Tahoe's best bartenders will be competing in the 12th annual Tahoe Blue Vodka Blood Mary competition on Sunday, June 12 at Steamer's Bar from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“This is the only Bloody Mary competition in the Lake Tahoe basin, and we have hand selected the 12 best bartenders from around the lake,” said Mike Peron of FNCTN, one of the event organizers. “From what they’ve shared with us so far about their recipes, our guests are going to be blown away!”

Don't forget, when you are coming or going from the Lake Tahoe Basin, check out the Caltrans message board at http://quickmap.dot.ca.gov/. Click on "Options" and "message boards." This handy tool shows you the exact time it takes to get from town over the mountain so you can stay longer and avoid the traffic!

FNCTN and Tahoe Blue Vodka’s Triple Crown of Bartending competitions continue on Sunday, July 26th at Steamers Bar & Grill from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“The 4th Annual Bloody Mary Competition was well attended and lot of fun. Turn 3 took home the judges choice after a tie-breaker round and Cold Water Brewery was awarded the peoples choice,“ said Matt Levitt of Tahoe Blue Vodka. “I am looking forward to seeing what kind of flair the bartenders are bringing this time around.”
Friday's Business Expo to feature 100 local businesses

The most innovative South Shore businesses will exhibit at the 2015 Business EXPO: Innovation in the Basin on Friday, March 27. The largest business and networking event of the year, Tahoe Chamber’s Business EXPO includes 100 local businesses ranging from restaurants and resorts to recreation providers to retailers. The event includes food and drink tastings, giveaways and a new networking lounge sponsored by the City of South Lake Tahoe, Winters Construction Group and Red Carpet Events and Design.
Two Grow Domes going in at Sierra House Elementary; $117,000 raised so far

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) approved two grow domes to be installed at Sierra House Elementary School. Ground is being broken on the project area this weekend and the project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
BBQ to raise funds for Sierra House Elementary's Grow Dome

The Annual Turn 3 on the Green Golf Tournament and BBQ raises funds each each for different groups and projects in need. This year, the Sierra House Elementary (soon to be known as Sierra House Mountain Academy) is the beneficiary for their Grow Dome project.
The public is invited to the afternoon BBQ which will be held at the American Legion starting at 4 p.m. on August 20. This will follow a golf tournament at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course that has a shotgun start at 12:45 p.m.
All funds raised go to the Grow Dome project.

July 18, 2014 (All day) The South Tahoe Drug Free Coalition would like to extend a huge kudos and recognition to the businesses that attended the ABC educational seminar on Friday July 18th. It was great to see so many businesses educating themselves and their staff on responsible beverage service. These businesses are going the extra mile to avoid selling alcohol to minors and visibly intoxicated community members (both misdemeanor offenses that may result in revocation of their license to sell alcohol).
