Raccoon skinning leads to arrest of at-large parolee, registered sex offender
Submitted by Editor on Tue, 08/20/2013 - 3:43pmSouth Lake Tahoe police arrested a man on Monday for allegedly skinning a raccoon after a foot chase ended on the South Tahoe Middle School ball field.
Kevin Burroughs, 37, faces several charges including unlawful taking of wildlife. He is also a parolee and a registered sex offender out of California and had a felony warrant for being a parolee-at-large. The raccoon’s remains were recovered and destroyed by Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.
South Lake Tahoe police arrest man, recover stolen property from vacation home burglaries

Eric Beaman, 26, of South Lake Tahoe, faces charges of being in possession of stolen property, said South Lake Tahoe Police Department Lt. Brian Williams. A search warrant of a home on Armstrong Avenue led to the finding and arrest.

Sean-Paul Andrew MacIntire, 32, of South Lake Tahoe faces first degree murder charges in the stabbing death of Shirley Gordon, said South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Brian Williams.

William Anderson, 30, and his fiancé Makayla Hoehn, 25, were arrested Monday and are accused of furnishing marijuana to South Tahoe High School and South Tahoe Middle School students, said South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Brian Williams. Both admitted to the crimes.
Brotherhood motorcycle member arrested for felony weapons, assault crimes, drug paraphernalia

Anthony Corbin is a confirmed member of the South Lake Tahoe Brotherhood Motorcycle Club. In mid-March Corbin was identified as the suspect who severely beat a 34-year-old South Lake Tahoe man.
Rite of Passage escapee with a warrant turns himself into Douglas authorities

Paul Cortez was arrested by Reno police and booked into Washoe County Jail where he will be transferred to South Lake Tahoe and booked into El Dorado County Jail. Police say he confessed to details about the robbery and how much money was taken.

One of the chipmunks was found in the Tallac Historic Site area and one was near the U.S. Forest Service Taylor Creek Visitor Center.

South Lake Tahoe police arrest man, two others sought in gang-related shooting

On Friday, authorities obtained a warrant and arrested Cesar Caro, 19, at his South Lake Tahoe home. He faces charges of attempted murder in the June 27 incident. His bail was set at $150,000.

No additional judge in Douglas County East Fork Justice Court

The announcement was made public in a news release sent Monday.
State law requires that an additional judge be added to the township when it reaches 34,000 in population. According to Nevada's demographer, the population of East Fork Township is 39,907. In a letter written to the Legislative Counsel Bureau, Judge Perkins said:

Mora Jr. was captured by Douglas County Investigator Investigator Nadine Chrzanowski after receiving an anonymous tip regarding his whereabouts.
Mora Jr. is currently in custody at the DCSO Minden Jail, booked on an arrest warrant for lewdness with a minor.
Bail is set at $50,000.
Chrzanowski expresses her appreciation for assistance received from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office in assisting in the arrest.
