On Friday, his shoes showed an image of Breonna Taylor, the 26-year-old African-American emergency medical technician who was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department officers on March 13, 2020.
Curry, who has been outspoken and active with social injustice matters, said the shoes were to "shine a light on Breonna Taylor, demanding and praying and
wishing for justice for her and her family."

Kyle Williams, former Pro Bowl defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills, came into the clubhouse with a 25 in the modified Stableford scoring system used at the tournament.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is holding a one-night-only poolside celebrity Q&A session on Saturday, July 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sports legends Jerry Rice and Shane Victorino had already been announced as taking part, but basketball great Dennis Rodman is now on the bill.

Over 40 local youth benefited from this generosity by getting to play at the “next” level (one step away from the World Series)! The players had an amazing experience thanks to the community support in our little town here on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. THANK YOU ALL!

The boys played some great games to get to the regional level and met up against some tough opponents. The following boys played a tough tournament and had a great experience of playing the best teams in Babe Ruth Baseball while representing South Lake Tahoe and Nevada.

The next game for South Tahoe is on Wednesday, July 24, against Carbon, UT.

Submitted by paula on Tue, 07/09/2019 - 10:41pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It was a close on Tuesday night as the South Tahoe Babe Ruth 13-year-old all-star team became the Nevada State champs after beating South Reno 12-11 in extra innings. They beat their opponents in the state tournament this past weekend 11-2 and 21-5.
The twelve teens from the South Shore are now headed to Utah for the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament July 22-27.

Reid, who started the focus on Lake Tahoe along with President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore with the first Summit in 1997.
"Like a World Series team who can't rest on their laurels," said Reid, "we need to build on progress."
Reid went on with his World Series antidote and introduced the "All Star Lineup" at the 20th Summit, his last in office as he won't be seeking reelection after serving the state in Washington since 1987.

Upshaw, who often played in the Celebrity Golf Tournament in South Lake Tahoe, died of pancreatic cancer in 2008 at Tahoe Forest Hospital.

American Century releases list of celebrity golfers to participate in Lake Tahoe

The list of the 95 participants released resemble the 'A List' of who's who in sports and entertainment, as well as the military. They will all be going after a prize purse of $625,000.

A large crowd is expected to see the San Francisco Giants Trophy Tour at Aces Ballpark in Reno on Saturday, March 14
While the trophy will be on display from noon - 2 p.m., the line expected to start hours before so it is suggested that people arrive early if they want to see the three World Series trophies.
The line will be cut off, if needed, to allow the champsionship trophies to leave at the designated time of 2 p.m. Not all fans in line during the designated viewing time is not guaranteed a photo with the trophies as it will be first come, first serve.
