Have breakfast with celebrity golfers at Tahoe Douglas Rotary event

Event Date:
July 20, 2016 - 7:30am

The Tahoe-Douglas Rotary Club, in partnership with NBC Sports, is presenting a very unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity during the American Century Golf Championship on Wednesday, July 20 at the Hard Rock Cafe inside Harvey's from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Hear personal insights from two athletes who are playing in the South Lake Tahoe tournament. In past years, the participants have been very candid and entertaining, giving those joining the event an experience they won't soon forget.

2015 ACC champion, Mark Mulder, will be one of the celebrity guests this year. Mulder pitched in Major League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals and is a two-time All-Star and 2006 World Series Champion.

The other golfer joining the Rotary breakfast is former Major League Baseball pitcher Derek Lowe. During his career, Derek played for the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers. He threw a no-hitter for the Red Sox in 2002. In the 2004 post-season he had a 3–0 win–loss record as he helped lead Boston to its first World Series championship in 86 years.

The Rotary event includes a breakfast buffet and interactive question and answer panel discussion. Tickets are $30 and will be available at the door.

Net proceeds benefit Tahoe-Douglas Rotary Foundation to support the local South Shore Lake Tahoe community.
